The CL-XL features an integrated Boost Adapter that accepts 12g CO2 cylinders (instead of 8g), increasing velocity to 410 FPS and shot capacity to 17 rounds when using the 7-round magazine in a 7+1 configuration. The standard CL uses 8g CO2 and has lower velocity and capacity.

"I'm not exactly sure how to write the review. I love the product, but one of the Max rounds (I bought a package of 5 with my order) was so flimsy it broke while loading in the magazine. So, great on most of my order. Handle the Max rounds gently. I previously had the Byrna LE version with Max rounds and didn't have the problem, so maybe the . 61 rounds are more delicate. Anyway, it made me cry in more ways than one - they are pretty potent."
